THE OFFICES

Bishop Protector
The Bishop Protector shall be the guardian of the Rule of the Order.

As such, his duties include:
~ Serving as an arbiter in matters which the Order cannot resolve through established processes
~ Forming and presiding over courts of appeal in any disciplinary matters
~ Serving as advisor to the Order on spiritual, biblical, theological, and                    canonical matters

Abbot
The Abbot is responsible for ensuring that the Rule of Order is carried out.

The Abbot is responsible for the Administration of the Order.

The Abbot presides at all meetings of the Council of Elders.

The Abbot is responsible for implementation of actions taken by the Council of    Elders.

The Abbot is responsible for the appointment of officers and other members of   the Council of Elders.

The Abbot will serve in perpetuity, unless rendered incapable by death,               disability, or resignation.

In the event of vacancy of office, a successor will be selected by the Council of   Elders upon the advice and approval of the Bishop Protector.

Prior
The Prior is the assistant to the Abbot.

The Prior will assist the Abbot in his duties as described above.

The Prior will assume all other responsibilities assigned by the Abbot.

The Prior will serve in perpetuity, unless rendered incapable by death,                 disability, or resignation.

In the event of vacancy of office, a successor will be selected by the Abbot        with the approval of the Council of Elders.

Chaplain
The Chaplain is responsible to the Abbot for the pastoral care of the Order.

The Chaplain may appoint, upon approval of the Council of Elders, one ore more    Assistant Chaplains to help in the work.

The Chaplain will serve in perpetuity, unless rendered incapable by death,            disability, or resignation.

In the event of vacancy of office, a successor will be selected by the Abbot        with the approval of the Council of Elders.

Secretary
The Secretary of the Order shall assist the Abbot and Prior in the discharge of   their responsibilities.

The Secretary shall be responsible for maintaining membership profiles and         records.

The Secretary shall be responsible for recording minutes of meetings of the        Council of Elders.

The Secretary will perform other duties as assigned by the Abbot.

The Secretary will serve in perpetuity, unless rendered incapable by death,         disability, or resignation.

In the event of vacancy of office, a successor will be selected by the Abbot        with the approval of the Council of Elders.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for the collection, distribution, and reporting of      Order funds.

Distribution of funds may be made only with the approval of the Council of          Elders, or the Abbot in their stead, in cases of extremity.

The Treasurer will make a full accounting and present the Council of Elders with  a detailed financial statement on an annual basis.

The Treasurer will serve in perpetuity, unless rendered incapable by death,         disability, or resignation.

In the event of vacancy of office, a successor will be selected by the Abbot        with the approval of the Council of Elders.

Council of Elders
The Council of Elders is the legislative body of the Order. They have the             ultimate authority in all the concerns, policies, and works of the Order. The        Elders are entrusted with preserving the spirit of the Order and Rule.

The Council shall consist of the Abbot, Prior, Chaplain, Secretary, Treasurer,       and two other members of the Order.

Council members serve in perpetuity, unless rendered incapable by death,             disability, or resignation.

The Council must meet once a year.

Extraordinary meetings may be called by the Abbot if need requires.

The Abbot is the ordinary chair of the Council, the Council may select another      of its members to preside over the Council in the absence of the Abbot.
